The Data Center Infrastructure & Services team is looking for an Asset Manager who will manage the inbound and outbound logistics into Data Centers, overseeing asset storage operations, supporting asset management activities such as cycle count, and supporting decommission related operations. The ideal candidate we're looking for would be a customer-focused, result-driven leader who can stay resilient against challenges or stress, apply best practices and judgements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and yet be hands-on with tactical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the data center asset lifecycle: covering the entire process from receiving to retirement for all core IDC equipment including racks, rPDU, servers, networks (switches/OTNs/optics/AOC/etc), cables, cooling liquid, etc.
- Oversee daily operations, develop operational frameworks, monitor metrics & KPI, and establish operational guidelines, including inbound and outbound asset management, cycle count, RMA, relocation, decommission, inventory management, etc.
- Standardize SOP and promote best practices across the global regions, and incorporate SOPs & practices into asset management systems.
- Possess data analysis and statistical skills to handle complex data sets and use models for accurate forecasting. Capable of visualizing data into clear charts and reports, analyzing operational data, and developing global strategies to improve asset management efficiency and accuracy.
- Design system functionality requirements based on operational needs. Collaborate with system platform development to design operational features, and conduct project tracking and development testing.
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain analysis results and recommendations. Understand business needs and align data analysis with business objectives.
- Manage multiple tasks to ensure projects are completed on time. Possess knowledge of technologies or industry insights related to data center projects.
- Interface with Finance, Internal Audit, and GSO teams to ensure asset management compliance & security.
