Summary
The Asset Manager provides recommendations on asset acquisition and manage a portfolio of assets, increasing their value, and minimizing risks. The asset manager is tasked with conducting risk analyses, preparing financial, asset management, and investment reports, reviewing policies, and developing strategies to maximize asset growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to caring and positive working and living environments for all employees and residents
- Prep Budgets and Review Final Drafts
- Prepare Budget Based Rent Increases for Portfolio Manager Review
- Compliance/Financial Reporting for Third Party Agencies as Required By Controlling Documents (HUD, Investors, State Agencies, etc.)
- Review Financials of Properties in Your Portfolio on A Monthly Basis
- Reserve for Replacement/Residual Receipt Requests to HUD
- Work with Development on Refinance/New Projects as Needed
- Financial Reporting to Boards as Needed
- SAM Renewals
- Surplus Cash Monitoring/Distribution
- Annual Financial Statement Inquiries/Responses to Third Parties
- Review Annual Audits
- Welfare Exemptions
- Business License Renewals
- Annual Corporate Registrations (SOS)
- RAP Taxes
- Business Taxes
- Property Taxes Tracking and Payments
- URS Agent Tracking
- Work with Internal Departments and Third-Party Agencies as Requests Come In
- Update Contact Information with Third Party Agencies as Changes Occur
- HUD Secure Systems Changes/Updates/Requests
- Insurance Claim Tracking as Needed
- Maintain KPI and Financial Analytics Dashboard
- Run Ad-hoc Financial Analytics as Needed
- Participate and Present Reports and Analysis as Requested
- Other Duties as Assigned
Reporting + Organizational Relationships
This position will report directly to the Director of Asset Management and does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation & Classification
CCH is committed to paying competitive wages. The salary range for this position is $91,449 to $128,060 annualized. Based on CCH’s compensation philosophy most new hires are brought in at the minimum of the salary range. CCH has a competitive benefits package with health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 8% of an employer contribution for retirement, and more. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position is eligible for both fully remote in the continental United States or hybrid, if located within the San Francisco Bay Area and would be based at the CCH Central Office - Walnut Creek located at 1855 Olympic Blvd, Walnut Creek, CA 94596.
Physical Demands
Physical demands include continual sitting, typing, and repetitive computer use for up to 8 hours a day. Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), in accounting or finance.
- A minimum of 10 years in accounting performing similar work.
- Experience is Real Estate industry and affordable housing industry, a plus.
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager Accounting (Core, GL, Financial Reporting, Budgets, Financials Modules), Advanced level Excel.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 platform and prior experience with accounting systems and processes.
- A customer service orientation and ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
