The Asset Management Standards & Delivery Lead supports the development, implementation and continuous improvement of asset management standards, governance and delivery practices across a complex operational environment.

A principal focus of the role is to act as the transformation project lead for the ISO 55001 asset management improvement programme, coordinating the roadmap, workstreams, governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement required to embed the standard across the business.

  • ISO 55001 Transformation: Lead the ISO 55001 transformation programme, managing the roadmap, workstreams, governance, risks, actions and reporting required to embed asset management standards across the business.

  • Management Systems and Standards: Support the development, maintenance and improvement of integrated management system documentation, processes and controls aligned to relevant asset management, energy and environmental standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 55001.

  • Governance, Audit and Certification: Review and update policies, procedures and guidance so they remain practical, current and fit for use. Plan and support internal audits, inspections and assurance activities, prepare for external audits and certification, and ensure corrective actions are tracked to close-out.

  • Project and Improvement Delivery: Coordinate asset management improvement initiatives and small to medium projects, including planning, stakeholder engagement, risk tracking, progress reporting and delivery follow-up.

  • Operational Coordination: Work with operational teams, contractors and stakeholders to support safe, practical delivery of improvement activity in a live operational environment.

  • Data, Reporting and Insights: Maintain and improve reporting, dashboards and management information to support evidence-based decision-making, senior management visibility and continuous improvement.

  • Process and Digital Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve ways of working, including the use of digital tools, common templates and practical process improvements.

  • Supply Chain and Materials Assurance: Support assurance activity relating to stores, materials availability, supplier performance and logistics processes where these affect asset reliability and operational resilience.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build effective working relationships across teams through clear communication, practical problem-solving and structured follow-up.

Experience

  • Experience supporting or coordinating transformation, management system implementation, governance, assurance, audit, compliance, asset management or operational improvement programmes.
  • Experience supporting projects, improvement initiatives or change activity, including planning, stakeholder coordination, action tracking, reporting and delivery follow-up.
  • Knowledge of ISO 55001, recognised management system standards, audit principles or asset management good practice is desirable.
  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting tools, ERP systems, continuous improvement methods or digital process improvement would be an advantage.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, contractors or suppliers to deliver practical outcomes.

  • Strong programme and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload, maintain delivery momentum and drive agreed actions to close-out.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to translate requirements into workable plans.
  • Good analytical capability, with confidence using data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise executive updates, programme reports, briefing material and management system documentation.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Process-driven mindset with good attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a busy operational environment.

Education & Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience in asset management, engineering, quality, business, environmental management, project management.
  • Project management, audit, asset management or continuous improvement qualifications would be an advantage.

Mandatory Practicing/Training/Compliance Certification

  • Any role-specific permits, safety training or compliance certifications required for the operating environment must be obtained and maintained.
  • Relevant asset management, audit or professional development certification is desirable.
  • Institute of Asset Management Certificate desirable

Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable but not essential
