We are looking for an Asset Management Lead to support the effective management of our mobile plant (fleet & yellow plant), fixed plant, gas generation assets, and infrastructure across their full lifecycle.

This role reports to the Head of Engineering & Asset Management and works with divisional leaders, operations teams, maintenance teams, and suppliers to improve asset reliability, maintenance planning, lifecycle decision-making, and asset data quality.

A key focus of this role will be turning asset and maintenance data into meaningful insights through data analysis and Power BI reporting The successful candidate will help the business make better decisions around asset condition, utilization, maintenance cost, replacement planning, and long-term asset performance

You will support and guide teams in using the JDE Capital Asset Management System effectively, ensuring work orders, preventative maintenance, asset records, maintenance history, and reporting processes are completed consistently and accurately

This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who understands operational assets, has strong data and reporting skills, and can work confidently with both site teams and senior stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Support the implementation, improvement, and ongoing use of the JDE Capital Asset Management system
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports covering asset performance, utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, downtime, condition, and replacement planning.
  • Analyze asset, maintenance, and operational data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support whole-of-life asset planning, including replacement, refurbishment, and end-of-life recommendations.
  • Provide data-led reporting to support capital planning, business cases, maintenance strategy and lifecycle cost decisions.
  • Train, coach, and support CAM users across the business, including planners, supervisors, engineers, maintenance teams, and site leaders.
  • Help ensure work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and maintenance planning processes are used consistently and correctly
  • Identifying gaps in current data capture and recommending practical improvements
  • Translating complex data into simple, clear reports and insights that non-technical stakeholders can understand.
  • Supporting continuous improvement across maintenance planning, asset management, and lifecycle cost reporting

Qualifications

About you

We are looking for someone who is data-driven, practical, technically minded and comfortable working across operations, maintenance and asset management

You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience in data analysis, Power BI, Excel, and asset performance reporting
  • Experience working with JDE Capital Asset Management, or similar systems such as Maximo, SAP, or other CMMS platforms.
  • A practical understanding of repair and maintenance, preventative maintenance, asset condition, lifecycle cost, and replacement planning.
  • Experience in a relevant industry such as waste management, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure, transport, mining, heavy plant, energy, construction, logistics, or another asset-intensive environment.
  • The ability to develop clear dashboards and reports that help operational and senior leaders make better asset decisions.
  • Confidence in training and coaching users in CAM, work orders creation, maintenance planning, and data quality expectations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence operational teams and external maintenance providers.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to challenge poor data, inconsistent processes, and reactive maintenance practices.
  • A technical or engineering qualification is preferred, ideally in mechanical, electrical, industrial, maintenance, or asset management. Qualifications in data analytics, business analytics, information systems, computer science, statistics, or data management would also be highly regarded
