Empire Office is seeking an Asset Management & Inventory Systems Manager to join our team in the Secaucus Warehouse. This role is responsible for overseeing all asset tracking, inventory controls, and system governance using the SnapTracker asset management platform. The manager will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reporting of both client-owned and company-owned assets across warehouses, project sites, and installation locations.

This position will lead asset tracking operations, establish standards and best practices, and collaborate closely with warehouse, delivery, installation, and project management teams. The role is critical to reducing asset loss, improving inventory visibility, supporting client reporting, and maintaining audit-ready controls within a contract furniture / FF&E environment.

  • Define system standards, workflows, and data governance practices
  • Oversee asset setup, tagging, barcoding, location logic, and lifecycle rules
  • Manage user permissions, training, and adherence to SnapTracker protocols

Asset & Inventory Management

  • Lead all asset tracking activities from receiving through final disposition
  • Ensure accurate asset visibility across warehouse storage, staging, transit, and client locations
  • Oversee cycle counts, full physical inventories, and client asset validations
  • Investigate and resolve asset discrepancies, shortages, or data integrity issues

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Manage and mentor asset coordinators, inventory staff, or warehouse team members involved in scanning and tracking
  • Partner with warehouse operations, project management, delivery, and installation teams to ensure compliance at all asset touchpoints
  • Act as the escalation point for asset-related issues on active projects

Reporting & Client Support

  • Produce and review SnapTracker reports including asset utilization, aging, shrink, and project close-out summaries
  • Support client reporting requirements, audits, and asset reconciliations
  • Present asset status and risk insights to internal leadership and clients as needed

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Develop, document, and enforce SOPs for asset tracking, scanning, and reconciliation
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to reduce asset loss and manual work
  • Support integrations or data exchanges between SnapTracker and WMS, ERP, or project systems
  • Ensure asset management practices align with contractual and compliance requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of asset management or inventory control experience, with direct SnapTracker platform experience required
  • Prior experience in a manager or lead role overseeing inventory, assets, or warehouse systems
  • Background in contract furniture, FF&E, logistics, warehousing, or commercial installations
  • Strong data and reporting skills (Excel required)
