Join our European Product Development team as a Vice President and help shape the future of alternative investment products at JPMorgan Asset Management. In this role, you’ll work alongside industry leaders and cross-functional partners to deliver market-leading solutions for private wealth and retail clients. As an Alternatives Product Development Manager at the Vice President level, you will lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives to develop, launch, and enhance alternative investment products. You will analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments to inform product strategy and drive innovation. You will manage material changes to existing funds, build strong relationships with investment desks and partners, and ensure the successful structuring and ongoing management of alternative vehicles. Your leadership will help deliver client-centric solutions and support the firm’s growth in the alternatives space.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch new alternative investment products and enhance existing vehicles
  • Expand private wealth alternatives offerings, including Part II SICAVs and ELTIFs
  • Analyze competitor offerings, market developments, and regulatory trends to inform product strategy
  • Manage implementation of changes to alternative funds, including structural modifications, fee reviews, and regulatory updates
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investment desks, risk and compliance teams, legal counsel, marketing, and distribution partners
  • Oversee product documentation and ensure quality and consistency across prospectuses and offering documents
  • Support ongoing reviews of performance, fees, and optimization opportunities for governance forums and fund boards
  • Assess and manage the impact of regulatory changes affecting alternative funds across EMEA

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Significant experience in alternatives asset management, with expertise in structuring and delivering investment vehicles across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and other illiquid asset classes
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across portfolio management, distribution, strategy, marketing, and operations
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Client-centric mindset with a commitment to integrity, fairness, and responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
  • Strategic, conceptual, and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong project management abilities, with a track record of delivering solutions to tight deadlines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Technical expertise in alternatives structuring, including legal and tax considerations for product design
  • Deep understanding of private market investing, portfolio management techniques, and investment processes
  • CFA, CAIA, Legal qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the global alternatives asset management competitor landscape
  • Experience overseeing product documentation and regulatory change management
