Job Description

You are joining a team at the heart of Asset Management, where USBP acts as the trusted Administrator and fiduciary for the J.P. Morgan Fund complex, overseeing nearly 300 pooled vehicles and $1.8 trillion in assets under management.

As a Board Manager within Asset Management, you will play a pivotal role as a member of the Board Management team within USBP, overseeing the relationships for five distinct Boards. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and collaborating across key functional areas, including Board Management, Product Development, Product Administration, Tax, and Business and Regulatory Controls. Your specific duties will focus on maintaining strong Board relationships, ensuring effective governance, and supporting the overall management of pooled vehicles.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist with the production of quarterly meeting materials for each Board/meeting, including quality control and timely delivery of materials
  • Manage agendas and/or serving as the point of contact for certain Boards
  • Maintain follow-up lists to ensure actionable items from each Board meeting are completed
  • Assist with annual contract renewal process pursuant to Section 15(c) of the Investment Company Act of 1940
  • Manage logistical details for each Board meeting
  • Monitor regulatory environment and partnering with Legal and Compliance to ensure changes are adequately addressed in Board meetings
  • Coordinate annual Trustee and Officer questionnaires
  • Provide support of the J.P. Morgan Funds Chief Administrative Officer, as needed
  • Provide support for other ad hoc projects as requested from the Boards and/or defined by business needs, including new products, changes in regulatory requirements, and other changes in the asset management industry
  • Serve as the point of contact for the firm’s Third-Party Oversight program with respect to certain engagements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and Minimum of 10 years mutual fund/institutional account experience
  • Knowledge of the asset management business, including strong understanding of fiduciary responsibilities, compliance and regulatory issues affecting pooled vehicles
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills
  • Strong project management skills and a keen sense of organization and sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in accomplishing tasks within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills
