Job Title

Asset Management Analyst

Pay Details:

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $75,000 to $100,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

This role offers broad exposure across real estate operations, leasing, asset management, and acquisitions. The Analyst supports the full real estate lifecycle, from underwriting and deal execution to portfolio performance, reporting, and strategic planning. Through hands-on, cross-functional collaboration, the role builds a foundation in deal execution, financial analysis, and portfolio management across a growing mixed-use portfolio, including OCVIBE, a 100-acre entertainment district under development, and an adjacent stabilized Class A multi-office project.

Responsibilities

Deal Flow & Leasing Coordination

  • Coordinate restaurant and office leasing deals from LOI through lease execution and handoff to tenant coordination
  • Maintain deal tracking, including pipeline activity, timelines, and key milestones
  • Coordinate across Leasing, Legal, Construction, and Operations
  • Prepare deal summaries, track key lease terms, and support approval processes

Acquisitions & Underwriting Support

  • Assist in evaluating new investment and development opportunities through financial modeling, market research, and data analysis
  • Help prepare investment memos, presentations, and materials for internal review and decision-making
  • Track the pipeline of potential opportunities and assist with due diligence processes, including document organization and coordination

Financial Planning & Asset Management

  • Create, manage, and maintain financial models to support annual budgeting, forecasts, and long-term planning across the portfolio
  • Analyze actual results against budget and forecast, research variances, and communicate key insights to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Leasing, Operations, and leadership teams to align financial plans with operational goals and execution
  • Assist in tracking portfolio performance, including rent rolls, occupancy, and key financial metrics
  • Support financial analysis, including deal comparisons, forecasting, and scenario planning related to leasing and asset strategy

Reporting, Data & Insights

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for leadership and business operators
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into leasing activity, tenant improvements, acquisition pipeline activity, and operational performance
  • Work with data from accounting and operational systems to analyze performance and develop key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Provide clear, data-driven updates highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio
  • Support centralized documentation and data integrity across leases, underwriting materials, and reporting systems

Process Improvement, Platform Building & Team Support

  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data tracking, and enhance reporting processes across teams
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, templates, and operational playbooks
  • Provide coordination support for meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow-up tracking
  • Support special projects and evolving responsibilities across real estate functions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience or relevant internships in real estate, finance, investment analysis, FP&A, or operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail
  • Demonstrated analytical and financial modeling skills, including experience building or maintaining financial models in Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in building a career in real estate with exposure to acquisitions, asset management, leasing, and operations
  • Ability to work with financial models, data sets, and reporting tools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and stakeholder groups
