Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Monitors files for responses to garnishment filings
Monitors payments towards satisfying garnishment orders
Researches garnishment service dates, payments that are on hold, etc., by using databases such as LexisNexis and court websites
Conducts searches on the internet to locate consumer contact information; makes outgoing calls to courts, sheriffs, garnishees, and others for garnishment follow up
Communicates with management and attorneys to decide on next steps for resolution
Reviews accounts and documents for the entire legal process lifecycle and makes corrections if needed; performs quality checks to ensure accuracy
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility.
Maintains knowledge of current department policies and procedures and apply as necessary in appropriate circumstances.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
3 years of consecutive work history
Must be proficient in Windows, Outlook, Application Extender; familiar with Word, Excel
High attention to detail
Organizational skills to manage multiple ongoing tasks.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
Ability to complete required company trainings
Familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and all other federal and state laws and regulations related collections preferred
