Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (1-2 days office a week – Bradford/Leeds)
Work type: Temporary 12 Months. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

The Asset Investment team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
Provide information, insight, and analysis to support the effective management of the Regulatory Capital Programme, playing a key role in its governance, promotion, and delivery. This includes delivering accurate, timely monthly reporting on programme performance and analysing financial and non-financial data to inform investment decisions.
Working within Finance, you will maintain visibility of risks and opportunities across all Capital sub-programmes, support regulatory reporting to Ofwat (including PCDs), and provide leadership in programme governance — undertaking affordability approvals in GMS (SAP) and offering constructive challenge at project approval meetings to ensure robust decision-making.
You will need a good understanding of working in a Finance environment, driving the governance, controls, and assurance required to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality targets, and contributing to the success of the Programme through informative, targeted management information and analysis.

As our Asset Investment Analyst you will:
Totex Programme Reporting and Monitoring: Produce comprehensive Totex programme reporting across Asset Planning and Delivery functions, monitoring performance against key time, cost, and quality metrics to provide accurate and timely insights that support effective decision-making.
Business Planning Reporting: Prepare annual and cyclical business planning reports for Board approval, ensuring all programme data is robust, validated, and aligned to business planning requirements and strategic objectives.
Programme Monitoring Activities: Support programme monitoring through the provision of clear performance reporting, highlighting key trends, risks, opportunities, and delivery outcomes to support achievement of business plan commitments.
Investment Support & Risk Management: Support investment decision-making by reviewing programme risks, affordability, and delivery impacts, ensuring the regulatory capital programme remains aligned with Ofwat requirements and organisational priorities.
Gateway Approvals Support: Provide support and challenge through gateway approval processes within SAP, ensuring robust governance, project readiness, and smooth progression of schemes into delivery.
Data Reconciliation & Visibility: Reconcile and analyse data from multiple sources across the organisation to provide clear visibility of Yorkshire Water's regulatory and investment position, engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Governance Participation: Attend Programme Prioritisation Management Groups (PPMGs) and other governance forums, presenting programme performance, expenditure, risk, and investment information to enable informed decision-making.
Reporting Tools & Trend Analysis: Utilise reporting and analytical tools to monitor programme performance, identifying trends in cost, schedule, risk, and delivery across the investment programme.
Ad Hoc Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Produce ad hoc reports for key stakeholders on specific elements of the programme, enhancing visibility and awareness of the capital programme.
Capital Efficiency Tracking: Tracking of capital outperformance across the programme, ensuring insights drive continuous improvement, optimise project outcomes, and inform future investment strategy.
