In this role, you'll:
Act as the key interface between NSW TrainLink operational teams, service providers and Rail Infrastructure Managers, supporting NSWTL to meet its obligations as a Rolling Stock Operator. You will provide technical rolling stock and fixed asset advice, share asset and performance insights, and contribute to key asset management, governance and operational forums. The role also requires travel to other depots and operational locations as required to support effective stakeholder engagement and asset oversight.
You will build strong stakeholder relationships, support risk and issue resolution, and drive compliance and performance improvements in a complex, safety‑critical operating environment.
This is a full‑time, fixed‑term role until 26 February 2028.

About you
Your degree‑level Engineering qualifications, combined with strong technical and stakeholder‑facing experience developed across rail operations, asset management and safety‑critical environments, will see you excel in providing trusted advice across rolling stock, facilities and infrastructure assets. You bring sound engineering judgement, a solid understanding of asset management principles, and the ability to work effectively in a commercially focused context while balancing safety and customer outcomes.
You’re recognised for your strong technical liaison capability, skilled at working across disciplines and engaging multiple stakeholders, and experienced in applying engineering best practice to support compliant, reliable and high‑performing rail operations.
