The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

We’re on the lookout for passionate self‑starters who thrive in fast‑moving, collaborative, and innovative environments.

Plains is seeking an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer to join our Canadian Crude Oil Division’s Pipeline Integrity Team. This team plays a critical role in ensuring our pipeline and facility assets operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. • Calgary office + remote flexibility on Fridays
  • Opportunity to influence integrity strategy across a large, diverse asset base
  • A culture that values technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement

What You’ll Do

You will be a key technical resource supporting the full lifecycle of integrity management activities, including:

  • Analyzing in-line inspection (ILI) data (crack, corrosion, deformation) and develop annual integrity dig programs.
  • Performing and reviewing engineering assessments, including internal and third‑party analyses.
  • Interpreting depth-of-cover and class location assessments and recommending preventive and mitigative actions.
  • Providing technical guidance for pipeline assessments, non-destructive examinations, and repair strategies.
  • Defining inspection scopes and evaluating results for aboveground storage tanks and associated piping.
  • Recommending appropriate repair methods for tanks and facility piping.
  • Offering subject-matter expertise to Engineering, Technical Services, Regulatory, and other internal partners.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of integrity program activities, including internal corrosion monitoring and mitigation.
  • Supporting commercial initiatives such as asset acquisitions and reactivations.
  • Contributing to annual budgeting and long‑term integrity planning.
  • Ensuring processes and procedures are followed, documented, and continuously improved.
  • Mentoring team members and providing training on integrity-related topics.

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years’ experience in pipeline and facility integrity management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian pipeline regulations and CSA Z662.
  • Hands-on experience with ILI technologies, non-destructive testing, and common pipeline damage mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in fitness-for-service, risk assessment, and hazard/threat management.
  • Ability to quickly absorb new information and apply it effectively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-driven, growth-oriented mindset with a commitment to professional development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
  • Clear background check and valid driver’s license with clean abstract. #Plains
