Job Description

Audubon is currently seeking an Asset Integrity and Corrosion Engineer to join our team in our Tulsa, OK Office with the opportunity to work remotely as well. The Asset Integrity and Corrosion Engineer works with the Integrity and Corrosion Team in day-to-day operations with projects that may include but are not limited to cathodic protection, internal corrosion, AC/DC interference, and atmospheric corrosion. Pipeline integrity projects may include but are not limited to those required under 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195; written plans / programs, conversion to service, piggability studies, class location studies, high consequence area (HCA) studies, EFRD / valve spacing analysis, vapor dispersion modeling, risk management, preventative and mitigative measures, fitness for service analysis (ILI), engineering critical analysis (ECA), PHMSA mega-rule compliance, ILI project management, NDE and material verification.

This position requires excellent communication skills, solid understanding and working knowledge of operating conditions and pipeline safety, excellent computer skills and high attention to detail. The ability to work independently and in a team environment with co-workers, supervisors, and customers is critical to the success of this position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support AFS Field Technicians on pipeline integrity and corrosion projects and field gathering.
  • Perform pipeline integrity and corrosion project field data gathering as needed.
  • Responsible for reports, including data analysis, and recommendations.
  • Adhere to AFS and/or client field operations procedures.
  • Work with Project Management Team to ensure timely coordination of field projects.
  • Ensure field work and data meet client specifications and communicate accordingly.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities using time efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Audubon Business Development Team to respond to RFP's. Support proposal and estimating activities including labor & equipment cost estimates and schedule development.
  • Provide mentoring and support development/training activities for technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Perform corrosion and integrity management engineering. Support field corrosion / integrity techs as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
  • Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Pipeline Integrity or Corrosion will be considered.
  • Understanding of pipeline integrity and corrosion mechanisms.
  • Candidate preference Cathodic Protection Technologist (CP2) or higher.
  • Proficient computer skill in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • At least 50% of time office setting.
