About the role:
Drive strong and effective Leadership within our Gladstone terminal and Yepoon locations across a number of complex areas that will include terminals, logistics and site maintenance.

Manage a diverse workforce (terminal operators and drivers) and deliver a superior service and performance at the lowest unit cost. Managing the day-to-day operations this role will be accountable for delivering the local OHS plan and be responsible for site and vehicle based compliance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing clear and consistent and visible leadership across the site and with external stakeholders.
  • Deliver key objectives in accordance with the LPG wide strategy – communicate, measure and deliver.
  • Drive for continuous improvement across all terminal metrics i.e. DIFOT, Shipping, Production (LEAN manufacturing) Supply Chain.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on the Origin Inspections Policy Statement and Plans.
  • Manage the day-to-day measurement and monthly loss/gain performance issues.
  • Desire for Business Improvement – Growth – Financial – Safety – Risk & Assurance – Engagement
  • Accountable for ensuring that you can demonstrate a Safe, Well Maintained & Compliant Terminal and Fleet
  • Develop and maintain a concise 3- 5yr plan for the Terminal Maintenance / Upgrades / Capital

What will you bring?

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Management or Project Management, or Trade Qualifications in Gas, Mechanical or Electrical with relevant demonstrable industry experience
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in managing and leading teams in a high profile / complex environment.
  • Excellent people skills and be able to inspire people to have the desire to deliver results
  • Extensive terminal leadership experience which is demonstrable by results / outcomes
  • Commercially astute and a demonstrable history of managing budgets, through to the desired outcomes
  • Understanding of gas or fuel logistics and transport principles and land transport legislation
