The Role
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate to grow their capability in a varied and demanding operations role. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of seasonality in the business and the affect that this has on the demand for rental assets. Furthermore, you will often navigate through significant and inevitable fluctuations that come with the territory of operating in the rental industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our assets in two depots; UAE and KSA, and work closely with our Sales, Finance and Operations Team. As a rental business, our assets are our priority and as such, the stock controller must have strong attention to detail and analytical capability. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will also monitor and report on usage rates and control stock processes.
Key job responsibilities will include:
- - Support the coordination between Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
- - Proactively communicate with departments to ensure the effective flow of information and coordinate demand for rental assets in terms of future forecasting and general day-to-day planning.
- - Manage the used equipment stock demand to include: slow moving, low volume, or one-off items on a monthly/annual basis; proving consistent reporting.
- - Identify opportunities to streamline asset management processes and enhance efficiency
- - Analyse supply chain data to ensure stock is available and highlight any potential short falls to management.
- - Implement best practices and technological solutions to optimize asset tracking and control.
- - Coordinate with the MD to help manage and monitor stock levels across multiple service lines.
- - Assist the Divisional Director in developing and updating asset management processes to meet commercial and operational requirements.
- - Regularly analyze usage rates to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- - Regularly analyze equipment damages to identify areas for improvement and reduce percentage of damages.
- - Analyse inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize asset allocation.
- - Work closely to manage, investigate and assist in determining value for damaged equipment and mediate recharge processes with Sales & Operations Teams; maintain corresponding stock update reports.
- - Manage the disposal and replacement of assets, focused on triggering replacement when required; liaise with Finance team; maintain corresponding stock update reports.
- - Lead annual stock audit, analyse use of stock rotation.
- - Hold monthly random QC/Service audits and validate stock to ensure high standards of quality control.
- - Random spot checks in Goods-In/Goods-Out to validate high standards of equipment handling, receiving and dispatching.
- - Liaise with QHSE on all asset quality and H&S related non-conformances.
- - Oversee handling of equipment through all departments & divisions of the Midde East company; assist Managers & Leads in developing/following through with quality training for all parties involved in meeting the client’s objectives with relevant asset management skills.
- - Liaise with Project Manager/Head of Operations in accordance with major projects as required.
- - Complete & analyse monthly reports relating to asset data to include open purchase orders, QIP, QHSE, ESG, etc.

- Occasional travel to the KSA Location & service line projects.
