About the Role

Our Registered Training Organisation in Australia is seeking an experienced Assessor to join its academic team. This role is responsible for assessing student submissions, providing constructive feedback, supporting student learning, and contributing to compliance and validation activities within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) environment.

As a subject matter expert in accounting and bookkeeping, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality assessment outcomes while supporting students throughout their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and mark student submissions for assigned units and short courses.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and constructive feedback to students.
  • Respond to student queries via phone, email, online forums, and social media platforms.
  • Participate in assessment validation and moderation activities with fellow assessors.
  • Maintain accurate and timely student records within the student management system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including reviewing and updating assessment and learning materials.
  • Contribute to compliance activities, including mapping and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with the Student Support Team, Academic Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure positive student outcomes.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or successor qualification) – Required
  • Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Diploma, or higher qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a bookkeeping or accounting environment.
  • Experience conducting assessments within an RTO, vocational education, or training organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of MYOB and/or Xero.
  • Sound understanding of RTO compliance requirements, including assessment validation and mapping.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Experience assessing accounting and bookkeeping qualifications.
  • Familiarity with student management systems and online learning platforms.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and compliance initiatives within an RTO environment.

This role is subject to a number of skills and possible online practical tests.

This position is an onsite role at our Pampanga office. Candidate must be willing to work on-site.
