The Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is recruiting for an Assessment Services Manager who will manage, through subordinate supervisors, the daily operations of the Assessment Services Division which includes mapping, change of ownership, title changes, exemptions, exclusions, corrections, and public information services. Essential duties include reconciling, balancing, and preparing the annual assessment roll for Assessor approval.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

BackgroundCandidates selected for this position must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening.

Examples of duties

CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT:

EXPERIENCE: Must possess three (3) years of full-time equivalent supervisory or management experience in a California County office coordinating activities associated with the development and maintenance of the assessment roll and must include interpreting and applying California revenue and taxation codes

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of relevant State laws and regulations pertaining to assessments for property tax purposes; a comprehensive understanding of assessment practices; and experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with various divisions, departments, and agencies.
