About the Role

Introduction

Are you a highly organised professional who enjoys coordinating projects, managing information, and ensuring operations run smoothly? This is an exciting opportunity to join Oxford University Press's ELT Assessment team as an Assessment Content Controller, supporting the production of high-quality assessment content used by learners worldwide.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a global team, partnering closely with UK-based colleagues while being a core member of the offshore Noida operations team. You'll contribute to the efficient production of validated assessment content and play an important role in supporting educational outcomes across international markets.

The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with structured processes, coordinating multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, and using data and reporting to support decision-making. You'll also gain exposure to content production workflows, supplier management, and assessment operations while working with tools such as Microsoft Teams, Jira, ClickUp, and other publishing and delivery platforms.

Opportunity

As an Assessment Content Controller, you will provide administrative, operational, and reporting support across content production workflows. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining content production schedules, trackers, workflows, and documentation.
  • Coordinating meetings and content development activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting commissioning activities, including assigning task IDs, preparing documentation, and updating tracking systems.
  • Maintaining Statements of Work, budget trackers, and freelance engagement records.
  • Creating and updating operational templates, recording scripts, media asset briefs, and loading trackers.
  • Collating feedback from multiple reviewers and ensuring comments are accurately captured and distributed.
  • Supporting pretesting and live seeding activities through documentation, tracking, and record management.
  • Producing operational reports and dashboards covering content production progress, content bank status, workflow tracking, and budgets.
  • Acting as a coordination point for operational queries from UK teams, freelancers, and suppliers.
  • Identifying and escalating issues early to help keep delivery on track.

Your work will directly support the efficient delivery of assessment content by ensuring that schedules, records, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communications remain accurate, accessible, and up to date. This role is critical in helping teams achieve milestones, maintain operational excellence, and scale content production effectively.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience maintaining trackers, reports, documentation, records, and file structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting freelance suppliers or external stakeholders.
  • Experience in an administrative, coordinator, or operations support role.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working in educational publishing, assessment, or content production.
  • Experience using workflow management systems such as Jira or ClickUp.
  • Understanding of content production or publishing workflows.
