Job Description

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidenced-based practice that offers treatment, rehabilitation, and community integration services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness. ACT uses a person-centered, recovery-based team approach to care and entails flexible service delivery, and crisis availability. Hillcrest Children & Family Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals in our community.

The ACT Clinical Manager will provide leadership and supervision to the clinical staff. The Clinical Manager will coordinate clinical services and monitor staff to ensure value-based care and services meet the standards of state, federal, and grantor regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and monitor the daily clinical operation of the ACT team
  • Evaluating the status of clients and plan appropriate to address changing needs.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Regularly evaluate individual and overall team performance; use collected data and information to make needed improvements such as adjustments to caseloads and work assignments to maximize quality of care, and staff productivity.
  • Assures staff and program goals are compliant with regulations and guidelines issued by the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health, Department of Health, Medicaid Program and other applicable laws and professional standards.
  • Manage and review treatment plans and clinical interventions.
  • Supervise and countersign team clinical documents by utilizing electronic medical record
  • Audits client records to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Monitors treatment plans, progress notes, medication, education and management, discharge summaries and plans.
  • Initiate and maintain internal and external agency relationships for referral and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle emergencies effectively

Educational Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in one of the Behavioral Health/Social Services sciences
  • Must have an unrestricted and active LICSW or LPC license in the District of Columbia
  • 1-3 years of experience providing services to ethnically diverse adults
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Bilingual skills are a highly preferred, but not required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or other relevant Human Health Services field highly preferred.
  • 5-7 years of billing, billing management and account management experience in behavioral health, mental health, or clinic based setting.
  • Billing and coding certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CPB, CPC, CRCR)
  • Experience with behavioral health electronic medical record systems and configuration of billing matrices preferred

Position: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote

Salary: $88,000 - $93,000 annually, based on experience
