About the Role

IPCO US LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our Production team in Pine Brook, NJ. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general production functions within the belt department

  • Build wooden crates for delicate, high-value parts

  • Pick, pack, ship, and receive goods accurately

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings (metric & imperial) for inspection and light assembly

  • Operate forklifts (seated and stand-up), scissor lifts, and overhead cranes

  • Conduct safety and fire prevention inspections

  • Utilize ERP systems and shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip)

  • Perform inventory management, including cycle counts and full physical inventories

  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.)

  • Support IPCO’s quality and safety programs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical focus

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems (preferred)

  • Experience with sheet metal handling (a plus)

  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer systems

  • Valid driver’s license required

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and follow standardized procedures

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Solid math skills (fractions, percentages, practical application)

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs

  • Regular use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments

  • Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment with required PPE
