Do you want to work with cutting-edge quantum technology? Do you have a solid technical background and do you work with a lot of perseverance and accuracy? Do you want be part of a diverse and dynamic scale-up company?
Then we invite you to read on and apply!
IN SHORT
Single Quantum (singlequantum.com) makes the world's fastest and most-sensitive light-detection systems limited only by the laws of physics!
As a scale- up company, we are growing steadily in both size and presence worldwide. We are looking for a new Assembly Technician to join our growing team, based at our headquarters in Delft.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Key responsibilities of a person in this role may include:
Assemble, integrate, and test cryostats and control electronics;
Perform soldering of electrical cables and connectors;
Test and validate printed circuit boards (PCBs);
Carry out measurements and testing on optical fibers;
Route and organize cables and optical fibers with high precision and attention to detail.
The work is done individually, but you will be working closely within the Assembly team and together with the Optical Testing, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering teams.
With ever-going improvements and growth of the Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detector (SNSPD), you are also heavily involved in new developments in cryostat and electronics assembly.
The cryostats are the face and body of our products; they are the system that binds all components together, and the electronics are the window into our products. Not only do the electronics control and read out the detectors, but they also present the data in interfaces for our customers to interact with. Therefore, the highest possible quality is required. In the end, you will deliver a physical product for both commercial and research purposes.
You will work full time and will be based at our HQ in Delft, contributing to our dynamic and friendly work environment!
We are looking for someone who...

Light detectors are crucial components of optical imaging and telecommunication systems. The ultimate photon detector is capable of detecting the elementary particle of light, a single photon.
Founded in 2012, Single Quantum was a pioneer in developing, manufacturing and commercializing the ground-breaking technology of superconducting single photon detectors. Single Quantum provides the best performance in photon detection, enabling the most demanding optical applications.
Our multi-channel detection system has already been chosen by more than 250 academic and industrial customers all over the world to perform complex optical measurements. The unique combination of unparalleled detection efficiency and time resolution makes our superconducting detectors the ideal choice for quantum communication and cryptography, infrared fluorescence spectroscopy, and laser ranging.
