Assembly Repair Technician

The Assembly Repair Technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles turbine “Roll-in” assemblies and components. Working closely with supervisors and team members, this role ensures maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The position also supports documentation, shop process improvements, and outage optimization. Some travel is required.

Key Responsabilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble turbine components.
  • Maintain and improve shop and field repair processes.
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, operations, and EHS to ensure safe and efficient task execution.
  • Support outage optimization and process improvements.
  • Provide technical support for turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant equipment.
  • Actively contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Travel up to 20% as required.

Requirements

  • Technical certificate or 3+ years of mechanical repair/assembly experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and follow safety procedures, technical instructions, and manuals.
  • Basic computer proficiency (spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.

Physical & Safety Requirements

This role requires regular standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Hearing protection may be required in some environments. Work may include occasional exposure to loud noise or industrial environments.
