Assembly Mechanic Level 3

As an Assembly Mechanic Level 3 FAA here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for assembling complex mechanical components and systems with precision and expertise. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that assemblies meet quality standards and production schedules.

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on an on-site work schedule. 1st shift 0530-1600 Wed-Sat

In this role, you will impact the manufacturing process by delivering high-quality mechanical assemblies that support Honeywell Aerospace’s commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

  • Assemble mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect assemblies for defects and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain assembly equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating ability to work with complex assemblies.
  • Strong knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions to produce accurate assemblies.
  • Experience using hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments, to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to inspect assemblies for defects and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in mechanical assembly processes.

WE VALUE

  • Technical certification or apprenticeship completion in mechanical assembly or related trades.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly in a manufacturing setting.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and resolve assembly challenges.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, fixtures, and tooling is a plus.
