Job Description

• Organize all work activities with assigned crew.
• Conducts tool box safety meetings.
• Assure that the crew follows safe work practices.
• Communicates assigned job goals from the Manufacturing Supervisor or Project Manager to the crew.
• Effectively communicate with other team Leads/Crew Chiefs and Project Managers to accomplish the plan objectives.
• Maintains an ongoing parts shortage list for assigned jobs.
• Takes ownership of the work area and assure it is maintained in a clean and safe condition and in compliance with company and departmental policy.
• Review of all build specifications prior to starting operations on large weldments and assemblies.
• Responsible for the hiring of all crew members and for insuring they work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Responsible for all crew training.
• Responsible for keeping Manufacturing Supervisor informed on all pertinent employee issues.
• Responsible for achieving all assigned job goals.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient work of all assigned crews.
• Responsible for the review of all assembly build specifications prior to releasing the assembly to shop floor personnel.
• Responsible for the safe fabrication, testing and repair of assigned NOV products
• Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environmental requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment.
• Ability to pass a health screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/stoop/sit for 8 hours
