At Atlassian Williams F1 Team, our Industrial Placement gives ambitious students 12 months inside Formula 1. You’ll take on real responsibility with projects that shape the future car and our business. Grow with a cohort from day one, then head back to uni with experience you can apply immediately. Join the Assembly and Test & Validation teams at Atlassian Williams F1 Team, where the final build of our Formula 1 cars brings together the work of over 1,000 people across the organisation. As an Industrial Placement student, you’ll work hands-on with expert technicians to support the build and maintenance of race-ready vehicles. You’ll help integrate mechanical and electrical systems, contribute to component sign-off and servicing, and ensure every part meets the highest standards of safety, precision, and performance.
As an Industrial Placement in Assembly and Test & Validation, you join the team that builds the car sub-assemblies that go on to race. Working to strict engineering specifications, you help keep parts moving smoothly through the wider build and learn the safety and quality standards a Formula 1 car depends on. It is hands-on from day one, and the work you do has a direct line to what happens on track.

Atlassian Williams Racing is one of the world’s leading Formula One teams. It exists purely to race in the top echelon of motor racing, where it’s been winning Grands Prix for more than three decades.
The Williams name has been synonymous with top-level motorsport since the 1960s. After running teams on the sport’s nursery slopes, team patron Frank Williams founded Frank Williams (Racing Cars) in 1966 and he entered F1 in 1969 with his friend Piers Courage behind the wheel.
Frank quickly earned a reputation as one of the industry’s more determined individuals and after selling his controlling interest in his original team, he established Williams Grand Prix Engineering with British engineer Patrick Head in 1977. They built their first car, the FW06, the following year and the team immediately went from strength-to-strength. Atlassian Williams Racing is currently the third most successful team on the grid.
