Job Description

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional and detail-oriented individual to join our Supply Chain Management department as an Assembler (Materials Handling). This position is Monday-Friday day shift (9:00am - 5:30pm) and the starting wage is $21.50 per hour. As an Assembler (Materials Handler) a typical day might include the following:

  • Receive, store, and deliver materials for use in production.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and provide support to other areas as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and collaborate with Purchasing to resolve any discrepancies as needed.
  • Perform vehicle and other power industrial truck inspections, ensuring proper care in the use and maintenance of vehicles, equipment and supplies.

This job might be for you if you:

  • Have previous experience in warehousing and inventory management.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Are highly organized and have strong data entry, proofreading, and documentation skills.
  • Have a commercial driver’s license or experience operating Crown WAV and/or Crown Reach industrial equipment.
  • Are able to sit all day, stand all day, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

New hires generally start at $21.50 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
