Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Assembler III (Painter) to join the El Paso, TX team!

The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive plan.

Shift: 7:00am - 3:45pm

Position Overview

The Assembler 3 is responsible for executing key operational processes that are critical to the business, delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality and safety required by Eaton. This role requires deep knowledge of essential manufacturing operations at the PCD facility, with a strong focus on safety, product knowledge, critical-to-quality (CTQ) points, and production process control. Employees in this position are primarily assigned to paint booth operations or the automated 4D and Calvary welding machines, both of which are essential to maintaining flow and performance on the production line. This is a highly skilled position within the assembly structure.

In this function you will:

  • Operate and maintain critical manufacturing equipment such as paint booths and automated welding machines (4D).
  • Ensure all work is performed under the strictest safety guidelines and Eaton’s Zero Incident Safety Culture.
  • Follow detailed standard work instructions and procedures with a focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Monitor CTQ points during operation to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and correct equipment or process abnormalities to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct visual inspections and perform tests to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Record production data and report any discrepancies or non-conformances.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement activities, including lean events, Kaizen, and 5S.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Assembler 1 and 2 positions when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, support functions, and leadership regarding status, problems, or opportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in assembly or machine operations.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred:

  • Experience operating paint booth systems or robotic/automated welding machines.
  • Technical or vocational training related to manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems and improving process efficiency.
  • Experience with Eaton Quality Systems, CTQ methodology, and Lean Manufacturing tools.
  • Experience in safety programs and initiatives (LOTO, PPE compliance, etc.).
  • Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards/switchboards preferred)

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or schematics.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials up to 35 lbs repeatedly with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and leadership potential.

Additional Information

Working Conditions:

  • Factory floor environment with exposure to noise, paint fumes, and welding operations (with proper PPE provided).
  • Rotational shifts or flexible schedule may be required based on business needs.
  • Physically demanding position requiring standing, manual dexterity, and situational awareness in operating areas.
