Purpose

Set-up and perform operation of assembly processes such as, cutting and drilling of metallic and non-metallic parts.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate drill press and hand drills.
  • Basic sealing and gluing.
  • Set-up and operate rivet machine.
  • Set-up and operate countersinking.
  • Basic assembly such as installing panduit straps, clips, nuts, bolts and screws.
  • Cutting a variety of materials to size utilizing templates or dimensions from work orders and drawings.
  • Ability to understand requirements from work instructions including specifications and drawings.
  • Wraps parts with insulation or other materials.
  • Tapes material to secure parts as instructed in work order.
  • Mentoring of co-workers.
  • Ensures the adherence to company safety and health standards, policies and procedures by monitoring personnel, machinery and work environment.
  • Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 1 year assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours with standard rest-periods.
  • Ability to perform work assignments requiring repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.
