Job Description

Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.  This position is based in Atlanta, NC.

Assembles products in cellular manufacturing stations, including filters, pumps, lights, chlorinators, etc. Completed products are boxed and labeled for transfer to the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Positions parts of unit being assembled by following standard work operation sheets.
  • Performs duties of the position in accordance with daily established Takt time for the particular product.
  • Fastens and/or bonds parts together using screws, rivets, adhesives and/or solvents.
  • Performs routine assembling activities such as wiring, cutting, gluing, etc.
  • Operates secondary equipment, such as sonic welders, clamps, drill presses, etc.
  • Inspects, tests, cleans and packs various products as directed.
  • Responsible for 5S housekeeping in work cell.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performs all activities in accordance with company safety standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, standard work sheets, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); zero to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here must be met in order for an employee to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per shift. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20-25 lbs. at least once an hour. Must be able to bend and stoop several times per hour in order to place finished goods on pallets for storage or shipment. Must be able to continuously use hands and fingers in order to handle small objects, tools, or controls and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, depth perception and adjusting focus.

Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, dust and airborne particles. The noise level is moderate to noisy. Safety glasses are required while on the plant floor.
