Job Description
dormakaba is seeking an Assembler I based in Reamstown, PA. The Assembler I supports multiple work cells of the Interior Glass department and will be cross trained in the areas of Fabrication, Crating/Packing, and small parts orders.
This position may be available on First Shift (6AM – 2:30PM) with a base pay range of $19/hr. – 23/hr. Mandatory overtime as needed.
$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)
What you will do
- Provide back up support to the Production Team Lead including coordinating orders for the entire department, ensuring orders are complete and accurate before sending to the shipping department
- Provide back up support to the production cells (header, rail, and MUTO) up to and including operating drill presses, saws, small presses, hand tools and packaging equipment, perform machining, assembly and packing operations, on an as needed basis
- Maintain small parts inventory up to an including: fulfilling small parts orders, notifying the Production Supervisor when parts are low, and ensure small parts are appropriately labeled and stocked at all times
- Use PC and thermo printer for relevant tasks, log daily reports
- Diligently follow shop drawings, written instructions, standard operating procedures, quality control guidelines during manufacturing operations, so that products meet quality requirements
What we require
- High school diploma and/or GED certification
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
- Demonstrated mechanical abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch
- Experience with various hand tools (manual and powered)
