We are seeking an Assembler who is responsible and accountable for producing high-quality work to prescribed standards, with a strong focus on continuous improvement to meet commitments on schedule and within budget while following SPC standard practices. The ideal candidate follows all written work instructions with precision and consistency, is a self-starter with solid decision-making skills, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.

In this role, you will resolve most questions and production issues independently, escalating only the most complex items as needed. You will perform duties with minimal supervision, including non-routine assignments requiring adaptation of procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. You may also support team success by serving as a resource in resolving complex issues, assisting with orientation and training employees, and participating in LEAN events, Six S activities, and action teams.

You will work collaboratively across functions—communicating effectively with teams such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales—while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and culture. A commitment to safety is essential, including adherence to all safety and material-handling procedures (WHMIS) and maintaining contamination control and cleanroom standards through proper use of PPE and the ability to work in controlled environments for extended periods.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced-level assembly functions, which may include mechanical, electro-mechanical assemblies, fiber cables, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production.
  • Follow Process Instructions and other written or verbal instructions.
  • Ensure precision, quality, and compliance by assembling and inspecting small components using a microscope and specialized tools, as required.
  • May perform soldering and installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of tools and equipment.
  • If required, perform all aspects of inspection.
  • Ability to work second shift hours 2:00pm – 11:30pm.

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty area e.g. welding, tool making

The salary range for this position is $18.73/hour-$26.80/hour. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
