Westfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Assembler to join our growing Production team! The Assembler is responsible for assembling steel and stainless steel parts and accessories for a wide variety of pallet, bag handling, case, and bottling equipment.

Job Functions:

• Assemble components to produce a wide variety of pallet, bag handling, case, and bottling equipment
• Tag components with required identification to enable tracking through the job process
• Operate machinery such as drill press, punch press, saw, etc. for modification
• Read and follow blueprints and the layout of parts
• Complete paperwork daily
• Perform quality-control checks
• Operate the forklift and overhead cranes as needed
• Maintain material supply
• Provide on-the-job training to new and temporary employees
• Assist in other departments as needed
• Maintain and clean work area

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to work overtime, as needed
• Adherence to the company safety standards
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Fluent knowledge of tooling changes and bend deductions
• Ability to read and follow blueprint drawings
• Good oral and written communication in English
• Ability to operate other shop equipment such as vertical milling machine, punching machines, lathe and cutting saws
• Fork truck driver’s license
• Ability to operate overhead crane up to 15 tons
• Must be authorized to work in the United States, with proper documentation
• Must have own tools

Education/

Experience:

• 2-5 years’ work experience assembling conveyors or like components
• 2-5 years’ experience with steel or sheet metal in a manufacturing environment
