Introduction to the Aga Khan University:

Responsibilities:

To provide structured exposure and hands-on learning opportunities to high-potential graduates, enabling them to build core professional skills and experience, and develop readiness for future roles within the institution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct time studies and map current patient journeys and workflows.
  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve patient experience and reduce turnaround time.
  • Support the redesign of patient pathways and workflows.
  • Develop and implement priority improvement initiatives and quick wins.
  • Develop KPIs and tracking mechanisms for waiting time and overall turnaround time.
  • Analyse patient and staff feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support regular reviews to identify operational issues and monitor improvement initiatives.
  • Track the impact and sustainability of implemented improvements.

Note: All FLP trainees are expected to undertake both operational and routine responsibilities within their assigned departments, in addition to contributing to project-based assignments.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Management preferred; or MBBS / BDS
  • 0-1 years of experience in related fields.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Process mapping and improvement
  • Basic project management
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Strong written and verbal communication
