Nau mai, haere mai ki a Fulton Hogan | Join us at Fulton Hogan
We’re looking for an Asphalt Paving Engineer to join our surfacing team in Auckland. You’ll help plan and coordinate paving work, provide technical support across delivery, and keep programmes, resources and costs on track so we can deliver safe, high-quality roads.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
This is a technical role with a practical edge. You’ll be close to the work, partnering with crews, supervisors, suppliers and clients to keep asphalt paving jobs moving smoothly from planning through to delivery. In Auckland, that could mean supporting work across urban roading renewals, motorway and arterial resurfacing, intersections, subdivisions, car parks, airport pavements and other civil infrastructure projects. It’s a role for someone who can think ahead, solve problems on the go and stay calm when the pace lifts.
You’ll need to be comfortable balancing site requirements, traffic management, plant and material coordination, and commercial awareness. In return, you’ll get real responsibility, solid backing and the chance to grow in a team that values ideas, not ego.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

Ensure traffic management plans are fit for purpose and site access is in place before work starts.

Provide sound technical advice to clients and help solve day-to-day operational and logistical challenges.
Record, monitor and control costs while helping maximise programme opportunities and overall business performance.

Ko wai mātou | About us
At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is more than what we deliver. It’s how we work, how we treat each other, and how we keep moving forward together. We’re a flat, friendly team that backs good ideas, values low ego, and knows when to relax and when to switch on.
Across New Zealand, we deliver the infrastructure communities rely on every day, from roads, surfacing and bridges to water, rail, airports and civil construction projects. We take the work seriously, not ourselves, so you’ll be joining a team that enjoys a laugh, speaks straight, and still holds a very high bar when it comes to safety, quality and delivery. If you like the sound of serious work with good people, you’ll fit right in.
