We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Foreman to oversee and coordinate asphalt paving operations at DFW Airport. This role is responsible for supervising crews, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within scope in a high-traffic, safety-sensitive airport environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead asphalt paving crews on airport projects, including runways, taxiways, roadways, and parking areas
  • Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor crew productivity
  • Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and FAA/airport regulations (as applicable)
  • Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and airport personnel
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
  • Monitor equipment usage and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes
  • Track materials, labor, and job progress; report updates to management
  • Troubleshoot field issues and adjust plans to keep projects on schedule


Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in asphalt paving, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or foreman role
  • Experience working on large-scale or DOT/airport projects preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving equipment and processes
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)

Work Environment & Requirements:

  • Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and shifts as required (common in airport operations)
  • Must be able to pass background checks and obtain clearance for airport access
