Job Description

Citi is seeking an experienced Commercial Cards Sales Manager to be based in Sydney (Australia) , The individual will focus on driving Commercial Cards Sales with a focus on the Australia and New Zealand markets and will be part of the APAC Commercial Cards Regional Sales team. This is a senior sales role focused on originating and growing Citi's Commercial Cards business with a strategic emphasis on Australia and New Zealand headquartered names - targeting both existing and prospective institutional clients.

The Services Cards business supports comprehensive solutions across Travel, B2B, E-commerce, Purchasing, and Meetings & Events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the origination and growth of new Commercial Cards business with focus on Australia and New Zealand HQ names.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities, building a robust pipeline across new products, geographies, and client segments — with a primary focus on Travel and B2B Commercial Card flows.
  • Proactively execute initiatives to capture new payment flows within the target segments
  • Collaborate with Services Sales and Banking partners to accelerate deal origination and provide effective sales support
  • Actively manage won deals to deliver a positive client experience throughout implementation, ensuring revenues ramp on schedule and escalating issues to senior stakeholders where necessary
  • Align with and champion regional Card Sales priorities and strategic initiatives
  • Analyse client spend data and translate insights into actionable growth and development recommendations
  • Meet or exceed annual new business win targets and revenue goals for net-new client wallet acquisition

Qualifications & Experience

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Good understanding of commercial card products, the competitive landscape, and target client profiles
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate sales (large corporates or mid-market clients) within banking or financial services

  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with confidence engaging C-suite stakeholders both at client organisations and internally at Citi
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation capabilities
  • Creative problem-solving ability to develop innovative, client-tailored solutions
  • Proven relationship-building skills across cross-functional and cross-regional teams
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders toward shared objectives

Education & Experience Requirements

  • ~10+ years of industry sales experience, preferably within the large corporate or mid-market sector
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at senior levels, internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a global matrix organisation
