Job Description

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

About the Program:

Informa Markets Asia offers a Asia Graduate Trainee Programme that jumpstarts your career in event industry in Asian Locations including Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Korea, Japan & Taiwan. Gain hands-on experience and contribute to high-profile B2B global exhibitions and conferences. Work closely with professionals, develop event marketing skills, and gain valuable insights.

Your Journey:

Receive structured guidance and support from mentors. Undergo a 1-year program with rotations in different areas included but not limit to:

Marketing:

  • Assist in the development and execution of various event marketing campaigns.
  • Create engaging marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, website content, social media posts).
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Engaged in Customer Relationship Management.

Sales:

  • Support the sales team in achieving revenue targets towards business goals
  • Generate leads through various channels.
  • Prepare compelling sales pitches and presentations.
  • Assist in building and maintaining client relationships in a professional manner.

Event Operations:

  • Contribute to logistics planning and execution for events.
  • Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Assist with event management tasks, including vendor coordination and attendee registration.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

  • Recent graduate (within the past 1 year) with a degree in Sales and Marketing, Journalism, Media, CRM, Event Management, Business Administration, Global Business or a related field.
  • Passionate about the event industry with a strong desire to build a career in event project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Digital savvy and creative, with a strong understanding of digital marketing channels (e.g., social media advertising, email marketing, content marketing).
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, video editing, eDM design and social media platforms management.
  • Excellent in both spoken and written English is a must. Able to write and speak multiple languages is a big plus.
  • Have permanent work rights with no restrictions in the applying location (Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Korea, Japan & Taiwan)
