We are seeking a skilled and experienced Artisan, Boilermaker to perform welding, fabrication, and repair tasks on various mining equipment and structures, ensuring their operational reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair boilers, tanks, pressure vessels, and other metal structures according to blueprints, specifications, and established safety standards.
• Perform welding using various techniques (e.g., Arc, MIG, TIG) on different types of metals (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
• Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and work orders to determine the scope of work and required materials.
• Cut, shape, and form metal components using various tools and equipment such as grinders, presses, and shears.
• Inspect work for quality and adherence to specifications, identifying and correcting any defects.
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventative checks on boilermaking equipment.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment status.

​ Job Qualifications:

• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Boilermaker, preferably within a mining environment.
• Proficiency in various welding processes (Arc, MIG, TIG).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and practices.
• Valid driver's license will be an added advantage.
