Job Description
The Artificial Lift Tech is responsible for monitoring and analyzing daily well operations, identifying exceptions, and troubleshooting variances in production data. This role is responsible for coordinating chemical treatments, rigless jobs, and storm recovery efforts while ensuring accurate well test coding, downtime reporting, and displacement monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Analyze day-to-day well operations and identify well exceptions (RT/cycle deviations).
- Assist with the coordination of hot watering, chemical treatments, and rigless jobs.
- Report on well failure activities and variances related to downhole, surface, or POC issues.
- Monitor displacement changes (SL, SPM) and ensure accurate and timely well tests and downtime reporting.
- Conduct test analytics and troubleshoot variances.
- Identify production opportunities for well and lease-level variances and based on oil loss.
- Work with Well Techs/Analysts on storm recovery initiatives and return wells to production following rig-off reporting.
- Maintain well test coding and continuity.
- Report uncontrolled release efforts and data.
- Perform relief responsibilities for Well Techs/Analysts as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of Oilfield Surface Production experience specific to Well Analyst or Engineering Tech.
- Experience with plunger and pumping unit experience required.
- Strong understanding of data processes for analysis and visualization.
- Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
- Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.
- Must live with 60 miles of Whitsett, TX.
