Within the context of a client and family centred care model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the position provides the day to day assembly, operation and routine preventative maintenance of the specialized equipment in the Renal Unit. Participates as a member of the patient care team and assists with patient care activities as required, including assisting with the mobilization and preparation of patients for dialysis. Utilizes basic word processing skills to access the unit database, as well as other available hospital systems. QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience Completion of Grade 12 and two (2) years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to organize work. Ability to deal with others effectively.Ability to operate related equipment.Physical ability to perform duties of the position.The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
