
You will join the TF OE Quality department within the TWINSCAN Factory in Veldhoven. This team drives quality excellence by embedding safety, continuous improvement, and operational discipline. With this internship, you support the team in exploring how artificial intelligence can improve recurring activities. Your work helps the department move toward smarter, data‑driven ways of working. This internship offers hands‑on experience in a high‑tech manufacturing environment.
In this internship you explore how daily workflows can be improved using artificial intelligence. You learn how operational processes are structured and where optimization opportunities exist. You collaborate closely with team members and translate insights into practical improvement ideas.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Map and document recurring activities across the TF OE Quality team.
Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
Gather process insights through interviews, observations, and data review.
Research artificial intelligence techniques suitable for operational improvement.
Propose concrete artificial intelligence use cases linked to team activities.
Assess feasibility, impact, and risks of proposed improvements.
Present findings clearly to team members and stakeholders.
This is a non-thesis bachelor or masters internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 5 days per week ( 3 days on‑site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026.
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are a bachelor’s or master’s student.
Study artificial intelligence, data science, industrial engineering, or a closely related field.
Have strong analytical skills and enjoy structured problem solving.
Communicate clearly and collaborate easily with different stakeholders.
Show curiosity, initiative, and a proactive approach to emerging technologies.
Are experienced with Python and have AI skills.
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
