We are looking for an AI Intern who is excited by the idea of shaping how teams build software in the age of AI. In this role, you will explore cutting‑edge AI tools and agent-based approaches that can meaningfully speed up development, reduce friction, and unlock new ways of working. You’ll work alongside product and engineering leaders in the Data, Analytics and AI team to turn curiosity and experimentation into practical recommendations that can influence how we build at scale.
This is a hands-on, exploratory role for someone who loves learning fast, trying new ideas, and translating emerging technology into real business value.
• Explore and evaluate AI tools, copilots, vibe coding and agent frameworks that can accelerate development workflows
• Experiment with AI-driven approaches for coding, testing, documentation, and data pipeline and analysis
• Partner with product managers, engineers to identify where AI can remove bottlenecks or improve quality
• Collaborate with Data Privacy and Cybersecurity teams to assess potential AI tools for compliance, security, and responsible use at Volvo
• Build lightweight proofs of concept to demonstrate impact and feasibility
• Compare tools and approaches, clearly articulating tradeoffs and opportunities
• Document insights and share recommendations with technical and non-technical stakeholders

The hourly compensation for this internship is $22.00 per hour. The rate of pay offered is based on factors such as a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education, and overall alignment with organizational needs.
