Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Visual Arts Endorsement
Preferred: Certification in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
Experience with both 2D and 3D art mediums
Familiarity with National Core Arts Standards
Strong understanding of art content and pedagogy, particularly inquiry-based and studio-based instruction
Ability to instruct students in developing technical and creative skills within various artistic mediums, including 2D, 3D, and digital art
Ability to differentiate instruction to support a variety of student needs and artistic abilities
Ability to collaborate with teachers within and outside of the Fine Arts Department to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects
Develop and implement engaging lessons in 2D and 3D art, fine arts, and graphic design.
Utilize the National Core Arts Standards to guide curriculum and assessments.
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and artistic abilities.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment with strong classroom management.
Utilize assessments to evaluate student progress.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Fine Arts Department.
Encourage student participation in art exhibitions, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
Stay current with best practices in art education, technology, and pedagogy
All employees must adhere to District 218 Board Policy, administrative procedures, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and all relevant Illinois laws, including teacher evaluation protocols under the Performance Evaluation Reform Act (PERA) and all state-mandated training requirements.
Salary:. Compensation is at the daily rate of $125.00 for 5.5 periods for 20 consecutive days. On the 21st day of subbing, you are compensated as long term subs which is $317.41 daily rate. Offered

Delta and Summit are designed to support the education of students beyond the scope of a comprehensive high school.
The Adult Transition Program serves 18-22 year old adults with disabilities. Driven by individual student transition plans, this program offers academic, vocational, and functional supports in order to prepare the students for the next phase of their adult lives. The Adult Transition Program partners with community agencies to offer our students a wide variety of social, vocational, and recreational experiences.
