Job Description

We are seeking an  Art & Design Teacher for a combined role spanning  Nursery to Grade 10 This role suits a creative, adaptable educator who is comfortable working across a wide age range and excited by the opportunity to shape art, design and creative spaces in a growing school. 

The role

The successful candidate will deliver  Art across the whole school (IB PYP & MYP) and  Design (MYP), adapting their practice to meet the needs of students from early childhood through to secondary. 

Art (Nursery–Grade 10)

  • Art is taught to all students, one module per week, from  Nursery through Grade 10

  • The role has a  strong Early Years and Primary focus, where a warm, nurturing approach and developmentally appropriate practice are essential 

  • The teacher will also confidently adapt approaches for  upper primary and secondary students, ensuring progression in skills, creativity and conceptual understanding 

Design & Makerspace (MYP)

  • Design is taught for  two modules per week within the  IB Middle Years Programme, in  multigrade classes

  • The teacher will  lead the makerspace as a creative hub, designing inquiry-based learning aligned with the  IB Design cycle and supporting hands-on problem-solving, design thinking and prototyping across the school. 

  • While Design is not a standalone subject in the PYP, the teacher will collaborate with and support PYP Homeroom teachers in integrating design principles and makerspace activities into their units of inquiry

As a startup school, all staff contribute beyond their core teaching responsibilities. For this role, this includes: 

  • Contributing to  school communications, including supporting photography, documenting learning, and providing content for internal and external communication channels  

  • Experience in photography, communications, marketing or social media is  highly valued and will strengthen an application, but a willingness to learn and actively contribute is essential 

  • Encouraging interest in  robotics, programming and creative technologies, including through extracurricular activities 

  • Remaining flexible to support other areas of the school as needs evolve and where skills allow

Starting salary: 140.000 SAR / Year
Final salary is based on relevant qualifications and experience. Accommodation is also provided as an additional benefit and included for staff at no additional cost.
