
The Army Aviation – Transport Aircraft - Tool & Parts Attendant (Army C-12,) Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in industrial establishment.

Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers.
Searches for lost or misplaced tools.
Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
Unpacks and stores new equipment.
Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometers for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.
May coat tools with grease or other preservatives, using brush or spray gun.
May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, using electric marking tool.
All other duties as assigned.
Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements:
A High school diploma or GED Equivalent is Required.
Military and/or specialized training school is desirable.
Minimum of One (1) year actual hands-on experience in repair, modification, and maintenance of systems related to individual specialty codes.
Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depths.
Personnel within this classification must be specialized in one or more of the following SCA Occupational Codes: 21210- Tools and Parts Attendant and 21210 Tool and Parts Attendant (FS-4002a rev. 9/01/06).
A valid Driver's License required.
Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned, per the Union CBA. May be required to work an occasional rotating weekend, when required by the flight schedule.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Security Clearance, and for facility credentials, base access and authorization to work at this site/facility.
Physical and Additional Qualifications:
Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for up to six hours per day and sit for up to two hours per day.
Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands.
Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders. May be required to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sounds.
May be required to lift up to 35 pounds to height of four feet and be required to lift up to 35 pounds to height of 7 feet.
Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales. Must be able to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print.
May be required to operate power, machinery, hand tools, etc.
Will be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
