AMO Technician

At Baker Hughes, our teams help customers produce energy more safely and efficiently. In AMO, technicians inspect, maintain, repair, and prepare equipment to meet quality and operational requirements.

As an AMO Technician, you will work with a team to complete maintenance and repair activities, document work accurately, and help deliver dependable equipment to our customers.

As an AMO Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Inspecting, disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling equipment according to work instructions and approved procedures.
• Identifying worn, damaged, or out-of-specification parts and communicating findings to the appropriate team members.
• Using hand tools, shop equipment, and measurement instruments safely and correctly.
• Completing job paperwork, inspection records, and system documentation accurately and on time.
• Following quality requirements, safety procedures, and applicable shop practices throughout each job.
• Keeping work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Working with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet job schedules and customer requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Completing other assigned duties in support of AMO operations.

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bring mechanical aptitude and an interest in equipment maintenance or repair.
• Be able to follow written procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
• Be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work.
• Be able to lift, move, and handle equipment and materials as required by the job.
• Be willing to learn new processes, tools, and equipment.

Relevant technical training, shop experience, or equipment maintenance experience is a plus.
