KRE Security, LLC is seeking reliable, consistent, and highly qualified Armed School Security Officers for a school district in Duncannon, PA. This position provides coverage across three separate school buildings and offers a stable weekday schedule, long-term placement, and year-round earning opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced armed security professionals, veterans, retired law enforcement officers, or individuals seeking a professional school security environment with steady hours and no overnight shifts.
Position Details
- Starting pay: $23.00 per hour
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 8.5-hour daylight shifts
- No overnight shifts
- Position begins in September
- Coverage across three school buildings
- Overtime opportunities available for sports, extracurricular activities, and school events
- Full-time, school-year placement with additional summer and per diem opportunities available when school is not in session
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure school environment
- Conduct patrols of school property and surrounding grounds
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents
- Monitor entrances, visitors, and access control
- Build positive working relationships with school staff and administrators
- Complete all reports and required documentation professionally and accurately
- Coordinate with school officials and emergency responders when necessary

Qualifications and Clearance Requirements
- Act 235 certification preferred or the ability to obtain it
- Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred
- Veterans and former law enforcement officers are strongly encouraged to apply
- Clean criminal history and ability to pass all required screenings
- Candidates are responsible for obtaining and providing their own required school clearances, including:
- FBI fingerprint-based background check
- Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
