Responsibilities:

General

• Execute the delivery of Ariba system implementation activities for IT projects and other IT initiatives, working with an external implementation partner (Consultants), Guthrie stakeholders and the support services vendor (Shared Services).
• Support Project Lead and PMO in planning, design, implementing, testing, deployment of technical integration between Ariba and S/4HANA and any other areas of technical implementation including SAP BTP extensibility
• Develop and maintain integration using SAP Integration Suite, SOAP APIs, CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway), and Managed Gateway for Spend Management, SAP PI/PO (Process Integration and Process Orchestration) or any other integration method / platforms
• Implement Master Data Integration (MDI) for supplier data synchronization between Ariba and S/4HANA
• Enable and support integration scenarios such as Supplier Management, Sourcing, Guided Buying, Source to Pay automation, etc.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Ariba – S/4HANA integration and BTP
• Manage risk and issues, escalating them for decision-making at appropriate levels of authority, while ensuring minimal impact to project delivery timeline and costs.
• Ensure transition between phases of projects are executed seamlessly from business and vendor perspective, with minimal re-work needed between phases
• Ensuring compliance with relevant Guthrie policies, procedures and audits.
• Perform and report system change requests, updates and new releases functionalities to the design and configuration of the system and integration components.

Vendor Management

• Ensuring the Vendor/Consultants deliver on their deliverables (as per the SOW)
• Review of the vendor/consultants’ deliverables
• Ensuring the governance for deliverables (document signoffs, etc.

Technical Expertise

• Design and implement integration solutions between SAP Ariba and S/4HANA using Ariba CIG, SAP PI/PO, or SAP BTP.
• Ensure data consistency and synchronization across systems (Ariba, S/4HANA, third-party platforms).
• Develop custom applications and extensions on SAP BTP to enhance Ariba functionalities.
• Create reusable services and APIs to enhance Ariba functionalities or bridge gaps in standard integration.
• Implement event-driven architectures using SAP Event Mesh or SAP Integration Suite.
• Utilize SAP BTP services such as Workflow, Business Rules, and Document Management to automate and streamline procurement processes.
• Optimize existing integration flows for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop technical solutions.

Stakeholders Management

• Communicate with project stakeholders (Clients, Vendors, etc.)
• Prepare and review communication to stakeholders
• Follow-up with stakeholders to ensure projects activities are completed on time.

Reporting

• Ensuring the presentation materials are ready for Project meetings (Weekly PMO, Steerco, Board)
• Ensure accurate capturing of Minutes of Meetings

Reports to:

• Direct report to Project Manager (s)

Requirements:

• Degree in IT/ Business Administration, or similar quantitative disciplines
• SAP certifications in Technology / Development like SAP Ariba Integration, ABAP and/or similar integration technologies and SAP BTP
• Minimum 5 to 6 years of working experience in Ariba and SAP S/4HANA integration projects
• Hands-on experience with SAP CIG, SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP and Master Data Integration (MDI), SOAP/REST APIs, MDI, and SAP PI/PO
• Tertiary education and/or Bachelor’s degree with experience in the related business/field.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, data mapping, and middleware configuration.
• Ability to influence others and achieve common goals
• Exceptional ability to solve problems and think analytically
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to adopt and drive changes
• Great organizational, project, and time management skills.
• Troubleshooting skills in root cause analysis and resolution of integration issues.
• Willing to work on a contract basis.
