Under general supervision, this position understands the company’s business systems, processes, controls, policies, and procedures relevant to the assigned location and department. The role supports accounting and treasury activities by preparing accounting reports and increasingly complex accounting analyses using spreadsheets and financial applications, while identifying and resolving issues. Responsibilities include downloading and reviewing weekly supplier payment proposals to ensure accurate accounting allocation, issuing and managing payment certificates, and preparing biweekly and monthly tax withholding reports. The position reviews general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies, aged balances, or deviations and takes corrective actions in accordance with internal controls. The role also prepares and posts journal vouchers, researches and resolves basic accounting issues and transactions, maintains proper documentation, collaborates with Treasury, and participates in continuous improvement initiatives. This is a developmental role designed to progressively expose the incumbent to moderately complex aspects of general accounting, internal controls, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and financial applications, while building company and industry knowledge.
