As the leading company in the field of software solutions for healthcare, we operate in 19 countries and employ over 9,000 dedicated staff members. You will work in a dynamic and innovative environment full of opportunities. With your commitment and passion, you have the chance to make a sustainable difference.

CGM leverages AI: We’re looking for people who feel the power of AI in the e-health environment, who want to help shape change, and who are driven by a curious passion to see how technology can make healthcare smarter, simpler, and better.

Together, we are shaping the healthcare system of the future. Become part of our mission and make a difference – for a world where knowledge saves lives!

Are you passionate about groundbreaking products? Do you have the talent to turn ideas into real, valuable solutions—while always keeping the bigger picture in mind? Then we’d love to meet you!

Your contribution:

  • End-to-end ownership of the delivery of all CGM Hospital Information System products, spanning our next-gen cloud platform and established on-prem solutions, with a focus on world-class execution across the entire portfolio.
  • Translation of CGM's business and product strategy into a scalable technology roadmap, balancing innovation with legacy constraints while ensuring high-quality releases on time and within budget.
  • Leadership of a distributed engineering organisation of 300+ FTE, building high-performing teams, developing future leaders and attracting top talent into CGM.
  • Establishment of a modern, data-driven engineering culture that fosters innovation, continuous improvement and accountability across architecture, UX, quality and operations.
  • Strategic partnership with Product, Sales, Marketing and Services, aligning priorities, managing stakeholder expectations and representing Engineering towards executive leadership and strategic customers.
  • Direct reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), working closely with the executive leadership team to shape CGM's technology strategy and the long-term development of the engineering organisation.

What you bring along:

  • 10+ years of proven leadership experience in software engineering, technology or product development, with a strong track record of leading large, distributed and cross-functional engineering organisations.
  • Proven experience leading organisations of 300+ FTE, including multiple management layers, senior engineering leaders and geographically distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, enterprise-grade software products at scale, ideally in healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
  • A strong track record of translating business and product strategy into technology strategy, organisational structures and scalable execution models.
  • A university degree in Computer Science or a closely related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable and underlines your business and leadership profile.
  • Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, enabling confident communication at executive level with international teams, strategic customers and key stakeholders.

What you can expect from us:

  • Executive impact: A high-impact leadership role with significant influence on CGM's technology strategy, engineering organisation and future product portfolio.
  • Mobile work: Work flexibly on the move two days a week and on site three days a week.
  • Attractive locations: In addition to fully equipped workplaces, regular events such as summer parties and Christmas parties await you at our locations.
  • Development: Our in-house academy and our portfolio of external cooperation partners will support you in your further development.
  • Health: Health is a valuable asset for us. Our in-house canteen offers a selection of tasty and healthy dishes every day and we welcome you to our fully equipped fitness centre for weekly courses (online & offline).
  • More is always possible: The kindergarten on our CGM campus in Koblenz helps our employees to organise their working day even more flexibly. We also offer corporate benefits, the option of a job bike, a company pension scheme and much more.
